Corrective Exercise Therapy in Austell, Georgia for Guided Movement Work

Corrective exercise therapy focuses on how your body moves during daily tasks. We use mobility drills, core exercises, balance training, and resistance bands when they fit your needs.

The service may suit patients recovering from car, truck, motorcycle, rideshare, sports, workplace, and slip-and-fall injuries. It may also support people with back pain, neck pain, whiplash, sciatica, joint pain, or reduced mobility.

The key decision is fit. Exercise selection should follow your health history, exam findings, and recovery goals. Corrective exercise therapy is not the right first step for every symptom, especially when a serious condition needs medical assessment.

  • Match exercises to your health history, examination findings, and recovery goals.
  • Choose movement drills that relate to daily tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, or reaching.
  • Discuss pain, balance changes, weakness, and mobility limits before starting exercise.
  • Ask how therapeutic exercise fits with adjustments, massage therapy, or rehabilitation.

Process

How we plan and deliver guided movement work

1

Review your health history

We discuss your symptoms, injury history, daily movement concerns, and recovery goals during the new patient intake.

2

Complete the examination

The examination checks movement, balance, strength, and other findings that guide exercise selection.

3

Explain the treatment plan

We explain the findings and outline how corrective exercise therapy may fit with chiropractic care and rehabilitation.

4

Practice selected exercises

You practice the selected movements with guidance, such as mobility drills, core exercises, balance training, or resistance bands.

5

Review your movement plan

We discuss how the exercises relate to your goals and what should be reviewed at later visits.

Why this exercise work may fit your recovery plan

Exercise choices follow your exam

Your health history and examination findings guide the movement plan. We explain why each exercise fits your goals, and we adjust the plan when your needs change.

Active work between visits

Therapeutic exercise gives you a practical role in recovery. The right drills may support movement habits between adjustments and other in-office care.

A broader care setting

Corrective exercise therapy can sit alongside chiropractic adjustments, neuromuscular therapies, massage therapy, and diagnostic services. We don't treat exercise as the right answer for every symptom, and severe or unexplained symptoms may need medical assessment.

Questions patients ask about guided exercise care

How does the first visit guide exercise choices?

The first visit uses your health history and examination findings to guide exercise choices. We discuss your symptoms, movement concerns, and recovery goals before explaining a plan. X-rays may be considered when clinically indicated. The goal is to connect exercise with your needs, not to assign the same routine to every patient.

Which symptoms should I mention before starting exercise?

Sudden weakness, new numbness, major balance changes, or severe symptoms should be reported before exercise begins. Tell us when the symptom started and which movement brings it on. We use that information with the exam to decide whether guided exercise fits your care. Some symptoms need medical assessment before exercise work.

Why combine exercise with chiropractic adjustments?

Combining both services addresses joint movement and active movement practice in one care plan. Adjustments focus on joint motion, while exercise helps you practice control between visits. Massage therapy, soft tissue therapy, or rehabilitation may also fit the plan. Your exam findings decide which services belong together.

Can corrective exercise therapy help after an auto accident?

Yes, corrective exercise therapy may support movement after an auto accident when the exam shows that guided exercise fits. Arrowhead Clinic - Lithia Springs works with patients recovering from car, truck, motorcycle, and rideshare injuries. We review the injury history, symptoms, and goals before selecting exercises. We also assist with insurance claims after an injury.

What changes the cost of this exercise service?

The services included in your care plan change the cost of this exercise service. A plan may include therapeutic exercise, adjustments, rehabilitation, massage therapy, or diagnostic services. Free Consultations are available, and we explain the services involved before care begins. Ask for a consultation based on your symptoms and treatment goals.

Where does Arrowhead Clinic - Lithia Springs provide this care?

The office combines chiropractic care with rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, massage therapy, neuromuscular therapies, and diagnostic services. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 7 PM, with weekends closed.
